Finding center in uncertain times

Rate: 2 Flag

Center is where the juice is. Center is where freedom lies - from center we have the potential to move in any direction. Center is where we find joy. There is a center to everything, to each and every cell, to our bodies and to the earth. From our own center we are interconnected to the center of everything. Center is where we feel at home and where we feel peace. When we live in our cellular center, we are embodied, knowing our Source on a bodily level, interconnected with all life.

There are two ways I access my center. One is by moving my attention to my belly center or hara, an inch or two below the navel in the center of the body. Then I just wait, just be there. Sometimes I'll sense a pulse or a change in my breathing after awhile, and if I wait longer, my breath will reverse - as if I am being breathed!  I feel supported, held, comforted by the Universe. To me the hara is like a portal through which I receive universal energy. As I simply be there and receive, energy flows into me and I am revitalized, stronger.

The other way I find center is by going directly to the cells and allowing my attention to rest in the center of each cell, sensing the stillness at the center. I may start by picking a group of cells, perhaps in my knee, or in my arm. I imagine myself inside these cells, in the center, experiencing the outer membrane of the cell, exchanging fluids, nutrients washing in, what isn't needed leaving. Then I just rest in the center, as if floating on a clear lake. Resting in stillness, I begin to feel the abundant ocean of nourishment that is always available to me.

Both the hara, as the center of the body, and the center of the cells are ways to feel the interface of the physical with the unseen support that is always available to us, the mystery that surrounds and holds us. I have learned to trust that when I rest in this quiet center, whatever I need next bubbles up, rejuvenating and freeing me for the next step in my life.

This is beautifully described and quietly speaks volumes. You are very evolved and know yourself more than most do themselves. I am always seeking, finding ways to connect and reconnect with my core, physically and spiritually. Really good stuff!
