Later on this morning my daughters and Amy are going to walk in the San Diego Pride Parade. They are going without "Mom". I can't make it this year, but Amy is going to take both of their little hands and they are going to walk for all of us.

My spouse is walking because she is proud to be married to me; our kids are walking because they are both proud of & for their parents and they are also walking because they are proud to be the children of two women who are not ashamed of who and what they really are.

I know my kids love us, but to see them "say" we are proud of you and proud to be your daughters is really something special.

They all might be walking FOR me this year, but I'll be here being uber proud OF them.
