I know I prolly shouldn't write more than one post a day, but screw it... its New Years Day so I can indulge myself!
A FRIEND of mine and I exchanged PMs earlier and the subject of Favorite Lists came up. I started looking at mine and asked Amy if maybe I should edit mine so that it was a little shorter. Her suggestion was that I should look at it like a proposed guest list for a party at our house (knowing how freak’in anal I am about our privacy and having people visit).
So, with that thought in mind I started going through my Favorites List. Bottom line is that I like everyone who is still on there (I deleted a bunch), but here are just a few of my favoritest “favorites”:
Lady Miko: Cuz she makes me larf with her witty comments and writing, plus I’ve just gotta see that "Backside like an Arabian Mare"!
Robin Sneed: Cute, smart, has heart and will walk through the snow to get a friend cigarettes! Reminds me a lot of my own sweet Amy.
Jill McLaughlin: One of my heroes. A fighter of the good fight. She DOES what some of us wish we could and all of us should.
Mary Ann Sorrentino: One of my other heroes. I’m guessing she was fighting for women’s rights before I was a twinkle. She still is and lawd help any misogynist that tries to stop her!
Mary Gravitt: Ah, kind, sweet , intelligent Mary. One of the first people I met here. She writes posts that are absolutely pieces of art and is SUCH a sweetie to boot!
Fireeyes24: Poet, artist, writer, friend. These are my four highest complements. She has earned them all.
Gwendolyn Glover: If I had to pick somebody for the role of “Straight Chick who Gets It” I’d pick Gwen in a heartbeat. Writes like an angel, but I bet she has a bit of the devil in her when she’s alone with her hubby.
Owl_Says_Who: I think I have prolly cried and smiled more over Owl’s writing than anyone elses. Her writing strikes a cord in me and I feel every nuance of her life.
Dennis Loo: If Jill is straight, I’m gonna set her up with Dennis. They would have the most politically active, smart and intelligent kids on the planet!
Christopher de Spirito: In case you don’t know, a lot of lesbians and gay guys don’t get along (prolly cuz gay guys idea of commitment is FULLY lowering their zipper and queer chicks move in with each other after a second cup of coffee). Anyways, Christopher makes me larf. He has a bright mind and a good soul as well.
Fingerlakeswanderer: Speaking of good souls… I like FLW so much I worry about how vulnerable she leaves herself. Her empathy for others, which would be a weak point for a lesser person, protects her, I hope.
Iamsurly: Snarky, rude, crude and perfect. I still think she is secretly Hello Kitty, but I love her anyways.
Scanner: I have NO idea why I like Scanner. He’s a straight, white old(er) guy, FFS, but I absolutely love to read what ever he writes. If he ever sends me Teri’s email address, he’ll prolly never talk to me again, though! ;)
RicTresa: Graphic artist, wise man and hippy Guru. Ric rocks.
Placebostudman: We argue, snipe, snipe and crab at each other… kind of like having a queer brother. It makes my day if I can get him to type LOL!
Mrs. Raptor: I wish she was my mom. I’d like to have a mom that is smart, brave and fearless, but with a deep abiding grace and tons of heart.
Dave Edgar: Mr. Cool Dude. One of the only guys I would invite to my house. Nuff said!
Lefty McGee: My favoritest poet in the world. He has a sick, perverted, pornographic mind that I simply adore!
Stellaa: I want to be a strong, smart, gutsy woman like Stellaa when I grow up. That’s prolly cuz of our politics matching so well and that I think she has a WAY sexy Av.! ;)
Mypsyche: Always there with a good comment, a congratulations or a beautiful picture. ‘Sides anybody who likes CFM shoes like she does has gots’ta be my friend.
I’m gonna stop here solely cuz my fingers are tired. I might do a part Two just cuz there are SO many more that merit mention.
If they are only my Favorites list, I’d encourage you to read ALL of them. They are worth the time and effort, I assure you!

1. It's BYOB. I'll provide all the mixers, tea and coffee you can drink (and likely more food than several hundred can eat) but alcohol isn't on the menu around here.
2. I take possession of the keys to vehicles of anyone who arrives with alcohol in hand. I'll give them back to you when you pass the "Ely sobriety test" but until then they are MINE and I'm NOT handing them over.
3. The ground floor of the house and the guesthouse are barrier free...disabled people have first dibs on barrier free accommodation... everyone else bring a sleeping bag because you're sleeping in the hay mow.
4. If the cat don't like ya... you're fish food!

And you? The thing I love about you is you say what's on your mind--which most of the time (and not one of of us is perfect) is articulate, intellectual, and frickin' funny. Happy 2010.
My list? MrsRaptor and Hourglass Figure of course, because they're the ones who dragged me here. Scanner, and Thoth, and although he doesn't frequent here much anymore, we HAVE to have Andy Heizler (or however he spelled it), I'd also add Caroline Hagood, AIM (alison), The New Number Two, and probably a dozen others who could convince me they were worthy of being at my party.
My apologies. I've been gone since this afternoon. I'm honored to be on your list. I'm not straight so...no Dennis and I will not be having kids. I think Dennis understands. LOL.
