This is better than GAY FOR A DAY, DAY! Weeeee. Ok..here we go. I once had unclean thoughts about Nathon Fillion. I mean I was really cose to crossing over, and would have, had he accepted my advances at the comic con instead of calling security.

OK, I'll do it, here on the OS, I.....like.....women. Yes I will admit it, I'm straight.

And I agree with you. A really nice guy and pillar of the community couldn't handle hiding anymore and committed suicide. The sad part was everyone knew he was Gay but he just couldn't admit it himself. Hopefully one day the haters will be the ones who have to hide.

I once dated one of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence (a reference to the "sister" in one of the pictures), and every time I would tell someone that, they would stare at me suspiciously because people understand that the "sisters" were all gay men. Turns out that one of them actually IS a woman. A kind of crazy one, but one nonetheless.

I think I will post this to facebook! I know a lot of closeted gays here in Florida. They actually think they are fooling someone ( only themselves ). Have you ever met a "Southern Queen"?

Good to have such support for those who are shy about their sexuality..for some families it can be opening an unbearable can of worms. Our relative is gay, came out long ago and we love her the very same as we did when she was a little one..has a great partner and is very happy!

This is important stuff, Amy, and I'm so glad you've written this. I came out many, many years ago and, like everyone else I've ever met who has come out, I've never regretted it. Quite the opposite.

However, there is one thing that I can't fully agree with, and that's the part about " let your brothers and sisters protect and nurture you" ... I dunno. Sounds great in theory and if that's been your experience, then that's fantastic. But it certainly doesn't resemble much of what I've seen.
