I've been hesitant to enter this challenge because it isn't a challenge to me. I don't wear makeup. Really. Well, unless you count hair color, which I've changed a lot the past few years. Otherwise I only wear a little makeup on dressy occasions. That's the way I've always been.
So you've already seen many photos of the real me, from then and now, in avatars and post, after post, sans makeup. There's a range of hair style and color. Sue me, I like to play with my look. And sometimes I have no choice.
Here are two pics in which I'm wearing make-up.
My niece's wedding two years ago. (OS Collage avatar, current).
My own wedding 27 years ago. (My real hair color. Rest of pics here).
Yeah, the real me was always a long haired brunette. Until I wasn't.
My sister's house, 8.06.
In Glasgow visiting my niece, 11.06. The only time Prednisone gave me full, red cheeks and my full, curly hair back.
Chanukah, 12.07, with Karen's daughter Amy, my sweetie, my pal. See our rosy lips? No lip gloss, natural color runs in the family.
Okay, some skin... after hand surgery 2.08, my sister took the pic to record all my ridiculous drug allergy alert bracelets.

This is (wow, I just realized) AOL/LA 2000. (OS Collage Avatar, retired).

New Year's Eve, 2008-09.

My hair's a bit darker and shorter now, different (similar) glasses, but basically that's me today, still no makeup. And really, I've had just about enough of my naked face.
For all I know, you left already.
Oh, and by the way, I think alla y'all look Ab Fab just the way you are!

Me, I am without any makeup in my avatar from the first day...
I think you always look good, and to think it's never with make-up!

Marcela and Buffy, you're both earth beauties, it's so obvious.
denese, you are the cutest and thank you back!
owl, ditto, though wish we could have a peek at you.
JK, I am comfortable and lucky too. Good genes and good jeans. Oh crap, I meant challenge in a nice way, I thought I saw others say they're meeting the challenge, maybe I should change my text? Oy, me and my big mouth.
it's fun seeing all of....youse. heeeee...
Rrrrrrrated!
Rated with and without make up or clothes. :-D
Bees, thank you, cheekbones come with a heart-shaped face which can also look way too skinny if the owner isn't careful. Just sayin..
Denese, c'mon, I count on you as my photo advisor. I need a new one with better lighting, right?
Gracieeeeee, right back at youuuuuu.
Stacey, you got it, that's why I never use it. Make up makes me look worse.
Blue, are you saying you just want to see my naked smile? :0 thank you, dear, really
nan, should I add a shot of my nekkid chest in a wrinkled shirt waking up from my nap?
Michael, you too, just love me for zee mouth.... heh Back atcha, babe.
peece!

dcv, I go back and forth but am now darker with lots more highlights, it's something called "paneling" meant to look like wood grain or something. All I know is I get lots of compliments (esp from Le Hubby) so I'm stickin with it for now.
Leonde, thank you! It's definitely a Philly thing. Who can eat a cheesesteak (wit') in makeup?
jane, you're so sweet. I like the latest me too. But I didn't even include the younger me with counts and rock stars... uh, unless you count Ozzy O.
B1, the many faces indeed. But only ONE personality.
dj, nice to meet you and thanks!
Silkstone, I so love your new avatar, it almost breathes.... the only thing I wear in public is sunscreen. I'm open cuz it's the only way I know how to be.
latethink, thank you, I love how we all look different in my family, yet still related, if that makes sense. For most people pred usually thins the hair and fattens the face but only that one time for me. It was nice to have at least that benefit.
Lea, the only way we'll know each other better is when we travel together. Which is *going to happen.* In the meantime, I'll settle for FL next month.
Tom, the camera hates me, I have to work SO hard to find non-Brundhilda-like pics. I like your avatar, it totally says You, tough but tender. So the camera got that one right. I maybe took this simple open call to another level, but hey, that's me, not gonna change me now.
QUESTION to Ladies of a Certain Age: as great a compliment as it is to hear "lovely," do you find you miss hearing "sexy?" (Well, I hear it from L'Hubby, but he's brainwashed). Hmmm, I feel a post coming on....
Funny how I see the most constant thing in those photos is your amazing dazzling smile. Your look may have changed a bit from time to time, but that smile remains the same.
Thumbed for naked joy. ;-D
Bill, ditto thank you, and btw, they gave up on the bracelets and just taped a big list to my chest inside a sterile bag.
This is so odd, though, because I have a hard time smiling in pics, though I try to do it a lot in life!
Keepin' score Sally, just so you know.........
(PS loved Ab Fab, 'specially when they went to Morocco)
