A Sign For Salon, What's Your Impression?

Rate: 15 Flag

This real sign, at the entrance of, let's say, Virtual Salon HQ, quite possibly strikes a universal note. What do you think?

This could be a great opportunity for a weekend Open Call. What's the best sign you've ever seen for OS?

Good sign. This one's for Kerry.
ohh! nice! is the upper sign in ebonics?? It must be cause we sure do be open
We could use some ebonics up here in this here place.
Looks to me like they need a whole new building! Cedar shake siding was in vogue circa 1900 in down town districts, but, brick, concrete, glass and steel soon took over. That building looks like something from the Ninth Ward post Katrina.
Like the subtlety!
Sorry, I can't top this.
Where did you see this sign?
Hmmm, best sign? I'll get on this...
This means the hair styling place is open, right?

I happen to be fond of this one, Sally. Check it out. Perfect for OS.
Where's TBucket?

The top sign, complete with ebonics, is real, from a bbq ribs restaurant in LA, taken by my sister Judy with her own personal camera. I added the *Open* Salon part of the sign (obviously).

If you're gonna top it, I want to know it's a real sign, not something from online. C'mon, you know you can do it!
Kathy, I like yours a lot, but um, connection to OS? What am I missing?

Lainey, your sign will make Freaky :::thud::: for sure.

John, no hair in the ribs, please.
Steve (sorry, brain is mush), I forgot to say that if you can't top something, it makes my heart sing.
not sure if this link will work but if it does, I nominate:

The Wheelchair Foundation

for epic failures
Sally:
"We are speaking bad English" (hopefully not, except for Kerry's sign)/"Hopefully we can do good cooking" (if nothing else, there's Foodie Tuesday)/"Go inside and make your own idea about it." (if all else fails, post a meta post--come on in, the water's fine).
Gonna have to give that some thought. I try not to think too much on Sundays so it could take some time...
Kathy, you win, my bad. Brain freeze.

Karin, I can't get the link to work, it just keeps loading and loading... :/

Cap'n, if anybody can find a topper, it's you or Michael.

Kerry? Where's Kerry on this topic of major importance??
Does that mean the sign of the mothership should actually be Closed Salon?
You be cool and, you be well, and soon, you be here!
I thought the office was in SF proper. Apparently it's in Oakland.
