I am finally settled into my new Kentucky home, and started off Monday with sunshine (after more than a week of rain and floods) and a good three hours working on my new creative home, Squidoo.com.
I have to thank Salon.com for introducing me to Squidoo. It was love at first sight. (Or site!) When I say that I am a multi-media artist, I'm not kidding; you name it, I do it. Why this is so, God only knows, but I want to use all that I've been given and I want others to get something out of what I do.
It's been hard to find a web home for doing all the creative projects I do so that people can take what they want and leave the rest. I don't like the claustrophobic and myopic thing you get by just putting together a personal website. But on Squidoo, you have a huge creative community, absolutely astonishing in the range of interests and skills to share. I don't feel alone anymore; I'm running into the work of one multi-creative person after another.
It's not only a place to share interests, it's a place to do business. Squidoo can, for the most determined, be a business in itself. It's also a place where you can mount personal and group projects, REALLY show how much you love the Beatles, or brag on your family's achievements or your favorite recipe from your Mom.
You can write of great or small things. You can rise to your personal best, and whatever that personal best is, there will be cheerleaders right there letting you know you can go a little farther than that.
So, yes, I am saying, "Hi honey, I'm creatively home."
Go check out what I've been doing, and check out Squidoo for yourself.

And now - a walk into the fall morning, and an afternoon of making other things...
