I eagerly wait with certain introspection.
In a walled off stifled seated section.
A clock meticulously holds the hour.
Curled up seated there is where I cower.
For at any given moment he shall appear.
Oh, the tingle that I feel when he is near.
Dressed all up in anticipation like a little doll.
He'll make his presence known down the hall.
Such the longest corridor for one to swagger.
A prodigious moment like this only makes me stagger.
Down the long hall I anxiously scan.
So inferior am I to such an honorable man.
Don't let him dare catch you by surprise!
Oh, there he is, so slowly I rise.
Like a wedding march to the prospective groom.
A bashful bride, cheeks full of bloom.
I slowly make my way to him.
And feel the weight of each and every limb!
It's only moments until we're side by side.
I wonder if he senses these feelings I try to hide.
Down the hall is where we always meet.
A most pleasant exchange when we greet.
I hope he knows I'll never stray.
My course is set and I'm on my way!!!!
