The Choice of Joy: Day 31, Egypt, Glenn Beck and Charlie Rose

How wonderful to watch the recent developments in Egypt, with Murbarak out and hearing the cheers. 

Fox News’ Glenn Beck sees the revolt as an amalgam of groups from the Muslim Brotherhood to the AFL-CIO that will “overthrow and overturn Stability.”

Charlie Rose’s latest broadcast from last night implies the unfolding as the birth of a new era that moves that country toward democracy and opportunity for its people.  The message seemed one of optimism and even a certain controlled euphoria.

Others cautiously weigh the pros and cons.

I’ll go with Rose.  It gives me a sense of joy to hope for those possibilities.  To the protesting Egyptians and their victory, I salute you and wish you well.
