The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark. Michelangelo ___________________________________

i tawt i taw a puddy tat
 following me around
but every time I looked for him
that cat could not be found

i  know he's at the window
with those mean green eyes
but as fast as i can I turn my head
all i see is sky

i walk outside to get some air
i feel his eyes on me
but don't see him anywhere
that cat i cannot see

i hear him when i'm in my bed
laying down to nap
that meow, meow, all the night
is about to make me snap

i'm think I'm going crazy
i see him in my dreams
if he doesn't go away
i might just  start to scream

i walk to work, everyday
to get my exercise
i know he walks behind me
seeking my demise

what did i do, i do not know
i wonder whats the key
what did I do, to that cat
to send him after me

i think it's time for a rubber room
just throw me in and go
throw the keys in the middle of a lake
but please don't let him know

wait a moment, what was that
guess what I just heard
in the that tree, over there
i swear it's tweety bird~~

This is so cute! I have a thing about Tweety Bird -- even had Tweety slippers.

This is fantastic..I honestly thought I'd missed a Dr. Suess book somewhere along the way. You made my morning. ;-)

You know my cat! Frick.
If I could rate you twice I would, once for me and once for my Grandmother. She loved this cartoon.
And it has nothing to do with tinkerertink69, although it should. r
scanner - this is really, really funny and good. Just goes to show you that ANYONE can play our muse!! ~r!!!!
I loved it!! Really clever and with all my feral cats here at work I find I look over my shoulder as they can hide really really well. You could have been writing about them!
scanner, you never cease to amaze me. wonderful!
you sir, are a twisted man
Thanks for writing and posting this. It helped to cheer me up a bit. I need some silly in my life.

Reminds me of:

"Last night I met upon the stair
A little man who wasn't there
He wasn't there again today
I wish, I wish he'd go away."

(With appropriate apologies to William Hughes Mearns and/or Ogden Nash.)
Tweety knows the deal. Cats are a danger to us all. LONG LIVE TWEETY BIRD!
So cute and you are quite good at poetry!
:-)
Paranoia stricks deep and into your heart it will creep.
well done scanner
that was fun. you know, i think my dog thinks this too. every time we let her out, she makes a bee line for the fence...
Ahhhhh!! You've been blessed, to be stalked by such a cat!! ;D

Rated.
The DTs are a bitch, brotha', I prescribe the hair of the dog or cat in this case. And remember, is just an urban legend that a cat will eat your face off - unless you perform in Vegas. Great poem . R
Scanner..wow, was this ever cool! It did remind me of a child's poem. Very enjoyable and good description of cats and their ways. You are getting better with each poem, keep it up!
I don't think you're twisting them tight enough. r
I liked your silly little Andy poem!
poetry takes a refreshing foray into the absurd
Very cute and funny! More please!
Nice to see an appreciation for the "classics" - well done!
you continue to rock, my scanman!
another great creation from scanman
Thanks for all the comments for this silly little poem. I'm sorry I didn't comment until now, but my shoulder is out again, and I can't type. I can't post or even comment, but I am reading a few. I keep three pillows under my arm, so I can move the mouse, but typing is out, for today and tomorrow, at least. Thank you for coming by~~
This poem just made my day! I now feel vindicated and totally justified after swallowing the keys to my padded cell........bless you!
thanks for the relief!
Darkly brilliant.
