On July 31, 2012, Georgians will vote on a series of 12 regional referenda concerning the imposition of a Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (T-SPLOST). After much deliberation, the Georgia Chapter of the Sierra Club is recommending a "no" vote on the T-SPLOST in all 12 regions.
By pledging to spend more time outside, you are entered to win a free Sierra Club Outings trip to Washington's rugged North Cascades, where you will visit breathtaking gorges, waterfalls, and mountain vistas.
We're going back to our John Muir roots by hosting a series of 4 outings (1 every Saturday in April) where you can learn about special, threatened places in GA. Suggested donation: $25 per person, per trip.
