Some of you have PM'd me about the large (40 x 60") paintings seen in an earlier post. Yes, when I'm a-not pimping my writing, I pimp my paintings! I paint in a style sometimes called "California Surrealism" (because of its early West Coast associations) or "Pop Surrealism"...the style relies on cartoony exaggeration and pulp-cover memes, with an unhealthy heap of surfisme, tikiness, 60s design, and B-movie burble.
The quality of the photos aren't topnotch--between shooting something so large to so small, kicking the file down to manageability, and dealing with glare and parallax, the finer strokes get lost and the color kind of blobs indistinctly. But you get the idea...mmmwell, maybe...
"Mars is Heaven" (30 x 40)
"3D" (30 x 40)
"Prototype 804" (40 x 60)
"Supper at Emmaus" (40 x 60)
"il diablo" (40 x 60)
...That's all for now!!! ;-D

Well, damn good for you.
And us.
I know, I can't stand him either ;)
And no, really, you can never have too much surfisme.
