Lay Down Next To Me ... the Song ...

Rate: 6 Flag
black notes

A few of you have asked if I had any music loaded on You Tube. No. Not so technically advanced - yet! Hehehehehe... but I am hoping this link below will take you to a site I have been trying to build for a year now! Everything has to be soooooooooooooo difficult!

Anyhow, I hope you get to visit and if you enjoy it, please tell me. Inspiration is what makes me work harder... I just can't get motivated to finish anything these days. But, this is something I have been trying to get together for a long time, so many songs, photos, memories...

You have all been so kind with your comments regarding my musical past, I thought it only fair to try to share some of it with you - you may like it, you may hate it! hehehehehehe...

There are songs on the other two pages, but they are heavier, if you like howling guitars! We never claimed to be great singers, but we sure do love to write and play. (hehehehehehe)

Some of the songs are with my ex on drums, some are with another drummer... I hope you enjoy.

Love the beat, it was easy to dance to. I give it a ten!!!
I really liked Take a Look Through the Window... they are all good, and they sound very current. Do you guys perform locally? I am really impressed! :) Thanks for sharing!
Hey - this is awesome -really liked the melody of Lay Down Next to Me. You have a terrific voice - and I am very envious of that red guitar (even though I can't play a lick). Your passion shines through here!
Thank you all so much for listening! I can't tell you HOW MUCH it means to me. I wasn't sure if the link would work and I'm so glad it did. Your words have given me encouragement!

Yes, SM, we still play every week, but only for family, friends and lots of fun now. The heyday stage days are over - but the jamming never stops! Hehehehehehe!!!

Thank you, Dusty and Michael - one day I hope to have a big festival and everyone comes and shares their talent! Lots of dreams to live up to still.... :0

I love you all!!!! xoxoxo
Hey, I played both songs! Tons of fun; and I enjoyed the other things you posted at the site. I'll continue to go back to your site; have it bookmarked on my computer.
Thank you Ralph. Knowing you'll come back will make me keep updating! God, I'm horrible with keeping up with things and finishing projects. THANK YOU!!! Glad you enjoyed the music. It makes my heart sing!!!! :):):)
Hey screamin' -- thanks for the heads up. I'm sitting here printing out photos for the memorial service tomorrow for Mary's Mom, and this is just what I needed. Listened to all the tracks on the three tabs and I can honestly say that I enjoyed each and every one. No apologies necessary about the vocals -- I think you sound great. Not exactly sure why, but "Shimmering Star" spoke to me the most today. All the guitar work is rocking (and made special note of the feedback at the end of "War" -- nice touch). I will have to go back and listen again sometime. Noticed that it says on the one tab that CDs are available; I'd like to know more about how to get a copy! Will pass this along to James as well, since he will really enjoy it.

And, you've got to love a good looking gal with a red guitar and a Marshall stack!

Rock on -- two big Bionic thumbs up from here! (rated)
Bionic, you are the man! I can't thank you enough for your words. You certainly took the time to listen and it makes my heart sing that the music spoke to you. Shimmering Star has always been one of my favs. I wrote War during the Gulf War... many dark days. Your comments mean the world to me. The only thing I enjoy more than writing, plugging in and cranking, is somebody listening.

I have never met you all personally, but I feel like I know you, Mary and James forever! I am sorry for Mary's loss. Tons of hugs. Godspeed

If you want, send me your address and I will send you a CD.

I love you guys! Rock on!
I agree. Shimmering Star is a winner.
Keep making music, mama.
Woke me right up on this Saturday morning! Rock on!
One day, we're all going to rock together - I promise. Thank you for your ears! :)
I like a number of these songs. The guitar work is interesting on War and Underpower. I like the pace and time signature changes on Look Through the Window. I think this is the best of this bunch.

Since you say so yourself, I hope you won't be offended: Finding a real strong singer would strengthen the sound and make for something pretty solid.

Also, you are aware that pants exist that are not ripped. :-)

Thanks for sharing.
McGarrett, thanks for listening! So glad you enjoyed the guitar work, because I can't tell you how much we enjoy playing it. Look through the Window - I remember writing that song living in a small beach bungalow. I used to sit in a big chair and pick those strings day in and day out until I found notes that I liked. All the while, I would be looking out the window (the shore was right outside) and I would imagine stories. I miss that little bungalow. :(

I appreciate your comments on the singing. We are aware! However, we only play for fun now - for family and friends, and are trying to put together a big festival for everyone to come and share the stage. Our strengths lie in writing and playing. Before I had the kids, the music was everything to me. We would have kept pursuing - but now, it's all for a good time. And we don't wear the ripped jeans anymore! Only on occasion - hehehehehe. It was a statement back in the day.

Thank you!!!!
I forgot to tell you - when we used to play UnderPower, people would break dance in the pit. Nothing like heavy music, swinging heads and breakdancing! TOO MUCH FUN! :)
Wait a minute!!! where'd all these people find all these other songs.

All I saw was "Lay Down" and "Shimmering Star".

Liked 'em both. Is that a picture of you? She's cute, whoever she is. Are you doing the lead vocals or the harmonies or both? It sounds like two and sometimes three voices.

Silly! There are two other pages with two songs on each page. You have to click the tabs that say Underpower and Moxie Raw. Yes, that's me in my hayday, and yes, I do vocals and harmonies, my ex is doing harmonies on lay down and the other songs have my brother in law doing lead vocals and me doing harmonies. Now, before I end, I have to say, You have made my day!!! I hope you enjoy. The other songs are quite a bit heavier on the guitars.
Thanks for the info, screamin. I'll visit those other pages soon.
The Moody Blues were great! I love that everyone here likes something different. This speaks volumes to me. Thank you for lending me your ears, Cindy! :)
