So this is what judges waste their time listening to. Hey, Bill: click THIS, will ya? There's just no good reason why the judicial system should bother with this nonsense. Who even cares whether the alleged "perpetrators" are guilty? They ought to find something better to do with their time, it's true. (Maybe learn to make an honest living?) It is alleged by Microsoft that these three were in cahoots, and managed to find a way to replace their own content for the ad which was supposed to appear in that space. The connection between the auto-generated mouse-clicks and exactly how these three managed to do what they did is not made very clear in the news story. Nevertheless, the fact that this lawsuit was even filed and is working its way through channels is a symptom of how screwed-up our society is.

So now, the number of mouse-clicks on an advertisement is actually something to be paid attention to? Anyone else feel like puking after finding out about this? World hunger? Human rights? War, disease? "Who cares! These three people are doing what they shouldn't!"

They outsmarted you, Billy. And you know what? We're amused...Counting mouse-clicks? Jesus. I suppose there's some sort of computer program that does that, rather than to have an actual human being sitting around to tally them-up. But  for heaven's sake, who NEEDS such junk?

No, I don't need anyone to explain its usefulness to me. I understand the function of such a thing. How 'bout we all start to worry about some stuff that actually MATTERS.

I got no sympathy for ya, Uncle Bill.
