Crime of Passion

1957NR86 minutes

Ace newspaper columnist Kathy Ferguson (Barbara Stanwyck) has brains and talent, but she's also got a blind spot: She's in love with a Los Angeles detective (Sterling Hayden). Funneling all her energy into helping her unambitious husband rise up in the ranks, Kathy even offers to bed his boss, Tony Pope (Raymond Burr). When Pope refuses to deliver on his end of the bargain, he winds up dead, and Kathy is the prime suspect.

MY REVIEW
The adventures of Kathy.

This movie cannot be watched without the rewind. That is how good and twisted it is. You have to keep going back to see what the hell you were missing, because it just kept on changing.

It could have been a decent women's lib movie, especially for the times, but Kathy turns into a company climber for her unambitious husband who doesn't care about his career except to make certain they have a roof over their head, but Kathy wants more - for him - than he ever wants for himself and that dang

Kathy is ready to cheat lie and kill to get him there. Now I need to go to the store and buy the makings for Cream Cheese and olive loaf.

watch the movie and find out why
