OS Mellow Down on a Saturday Night

Rate: 9 Flag
Saturday night begins with a whole lot of this.

Then the switch to Bonnie Raitt.

Next comes The Stones, The Rain Falls Down and Winehouse's You Know I'm No Good
which can't be shown, but here are the links:

And Saturday night goes on.  Enter Chaka Khan.

Want to hear this with me?

Oh damn.  Just hold my hand on a Saturday night.

There's so much more to come.
So much more than this.

Scupper, you were the last person to my blog. What you don't know is that my husband took me away for Mother's Day weekend about 80 miles from here to an intimate venue to see Bonny Raitt. She was fabulous. Incredible. What a voice. What a musician. I was blown away. We are lucky sometimes here in LA, because musicians come to LA to play in N.O., just generally, or like Bonnie, for Jazz Fest, and she stayed an extra day and played a gig in Marksville. That next day I fell ill, and then the confusing stuff happened.

:-)

I was in heaven.

Who is this Tom Waits fellow? He looks kind of crazy.
I don't know about you, but for me, Saturday night's alright for fightin'.
Fighting, yes. Shaggin, yes! Whoo - Hoo.

Glad to see you D. I enjoy that you are always so direct and fresh in your comments. You'll get the marital bits figured out.

D, my little kum-kwaits, you gotta love Tom Waits!
The piano has been drinkin. . . .
Roooooooxxxssaaaanne!!! oh god, they look so young

my favorite by Raitt is the time song ;) which, in a nice coincidence, kind of applies to the mood that the Police video put me in
nice picks! though for a mellow mood I pick Raitt's "I Can't Make You Love Me"
you listen to music on you tube on the computer? You dont use the stereo anymore? O wow we are into space age now!
the first one about Sprng and the Stone song are the ones am going to scout out because it is raining heavily here and when it shines, it is a bit like Spring because leaves, flowers, colors on buildings, rain sleeked streets looks brighter, cleaner, shinier after shower
now i'm mellowed out!
oh god, these are great. thank you for sharing. i love bonnie raitt more than life. seirously. tonight i feel like carp and im' fucking lonelier than usual. these all hit the spot. i adore you.

love love love and huge gratitude for not making me look at another picture of a lovely woman without makeup giving all sorts of disclaimers. i mean, shit, young ones, treasure your youth and great looks while you have them. i did. and im' glad because they are gone now.
Man the Tom Waits song was wondeful. When I'm rambling on about music I always forget Waits who has written some of the most profound songs ever written. I listened to him a lot when I was younger. Gonna go download a bunch and enjoy this beautiful Sunday morning.

I love, love, love Percy Sledge. Wonderful choices, and I needed the mellow after the evening I had yesterday. My nerves are still a little raw. thanks.
I wanna go to your house this Saturday night....
