I am a shell of she.
A shell of she
is now me.
I am not the one
you remember,
nor am I the one
you will know.
She is not me.
She is a shell.

I am a leaf
in a tree.
The tree is now me.
I am not the tree,
nor am I the seed.
I belong not to the tree.
The tree is me.

I am a molecule
in the wind.
The wind is now me.
I am not the wind,
nor am I the breeze.
I belong not to the wind.
The wind is me.

I am accepting
time.
Time is now me.
I am not time,
nor am I a lost hour.
I belong not to then or beyond.
The now is me.

Wow. That is beautiful and haunting at the same time. Lovely, really lovely.
And I was first! :)
scupper,
This is an absolutely beautiful piece of poetry. It just came flowing with heart and life and insight and beauty. Thank you.

Rated and appreciated.
Double wow! Profound and powerful and the harp music is so beautiful. Just a wonderful post.

The last stanza... I just keep rereading it. Beautiful.
I like the simplicity of the your word choice, coupled with the short line breaks it moves the poem along quickly and smoothly. Last line, the perfect finish.
Very beautiful and simple Zen poetry.
This poem is beautiful. And I love the sound of the harp.
Simple yet elegant, everything falling together perfectly. r
I have never been a fan of harp music. Well, this changed that. The woman became so beautiful right before my eyes because of her depth and skill.

Not that your writing needs any props to make it good, but the combo here has me reeling.
I forgot to mention my favorite line:

I am not the one
you remember,
nor am I the one
you will know
Reading this...listening to the harp (probably my favorite instrument)... It brought me to tears. These words are exquisite. Lovely and moving. Wish I could say more...
That is so beautiful and so introspective. I can't help but wonder where you get your ideas.
Lovely! Good place to be, now.
At first I was sorry that I didn't see this the day you put it up, but the timing for reading it is perfect. As always, you touch me where right where I am....just read a letter from a friend...someone I've known most of my life...and I am still the person to him I was when I was 17....xox
