Early bloom

Rate: 17 Flag

red indian

I am waiting for seed,

more color,

early spring.

February  is

thick with earth

and fall's trampled gold.

I have needs.

New tubes.

A knife.

Cold pressed oil.

You stopped

to say hello.

Simple.

And daffodils bloomed

with frost yet to come.

oh yes and crocus. soon. Beautiful painting. your talent is boundless. Green here.
You capture it well in words and painting--that special thing that happens when two who love enjoy the early sun. I just love these words: You stopped

to say hello.

Simple.

And daffodils bloomed

with frost yet to come.

this is just lovely...i love the cadence of it a whole bunch
Lovely painting. I like the colors. My bulbs started to sprout, but not the crocus. They knew it wasn't spring yet.
There's a touch of Monet in that lovely painting.

February is snow covered in England and a colourful spring most wanted.
Beautiful painting and words.
Lovely bit of painting! Crocus here as of last week. Now it's 21 degrees this morning.
What a lovely gift! Gorgeous painting, beautiful words -- it must be wonderful to be able to take tubes of color & turn them into art.
Beautiful - All of it -
"I have needs" - Yes!
"February is / thick with earth." Bearing us down, making us feel mud-laden, clod-like, plodding. Yearning for spring. How delightful, then, to have surprise daffodils. And this magnificent painting.

But, my God, you paint as well as you poet!
Lovely impressions. Tools and pastel thoughts.
Gorgeous . . . again . . . simply gorgeous.
Still waiting up here on the mountain.
