In my humble opinion, he should have let a benevolent/altruistic Jedi slay him. In that way, he could have kinda done like a reverse Obi-Wan Kenobi — and he could have mentored some fledgling inhuman corporate vulture from beyond the grave.
Still, it will be interesting to see if he will be having normal human emotions, and charitable (or at least benign) thoughts, now that he is not wholly titanium/the degraded viscera that which he was born with. I don’t know, if I believe this kind of thing or not — although television movies have certainly been made about it — ostensibly affirming this “fact”.
