In keeping with omnivores, carnivores and vegetarians.. here's an amusing little ditty that was sent to me today :

Now we might like to think that this is parody, and it is of course. But who's to say that somewhere 'out there' there's not an individual watching, reading, thinking.. and making up their mind to start a group for the promotion, establishment and preservation of veggie rights? How do you think any of these animal rights groups were formed? Humans like 'causes'. And for many humans, if there's not a 'cause' for their particular interest, they'll be moved to create one. Since the Information Highway reaches into nearly every corner of the world those of us who travel it have discovered that everywhere is just like everywhere else, more than we might have thought. This means that more of us are like most of us than we might have thought. For that individual who hatches the 'cause', whatever it might be for, there will be other individuals who will join them, the 'net has made that process much easier, word of mouth has reached new heights. We're really not that different ya know, no matter where we live.
Someday in the perhaps not-too-distant future there will be a PEToV - People for the Ethical Treatment of Vegetables.
If we can think it, it can happen... Human history is full of that.
The destruction of the man/animal bond. Tip of the iceberg I tell ya.
{Thanks to Kevin and Val!)
