Great montage of Texana! I especially love that live oak providing shade for those longhorns. And the very non-Celtic piper on the streets of San Antonio.
If you hear angelic voices singing in SA tonight, it's not your imagination. ...my daughter and her choir classmates are visiting your city, town and country this weekend.
You and Procopis (RR tracks) are certainly on this week. That pretty house, is it part of a neighborhood of similar houses? Lovely looking. Are those storfronts occuppied? After seeing Procopius's shots of abandoned Rockford, I'm feeling bad for the America that was.
Sgt.,
You and Procopius (RR tracks) are certainly on this week. That pretty house, is it part of a neighborhood of similar houses? Lovely looking. Are those storfronts occuppied? After seeing Procopius's shots of abandoned Rockford, I'm feeling bad for the America that was.
P - I love the picture of the longhorns and the tree, because their horns and the tree branches are curving at much the same angle. I used this pic as the banner for a website I built for my semi-regular employer, who sells ranch real estate.
Belinda - where are they singing - Laurie Auditorium at Trinity?
Bad Scot - we're doing OK, in Texas, at least those parts of it that aren't burning. The storefronts in Paint Rock are mostly offices, as it's across from the county courthouse, and the Randle Bldg is mostly occupied. The house by the river in Boerne is very much in use, and part of a whole nice historic district.
So cool. I gotta get to Texas one day....
Nice to see stuff down south of big D.
Oh I would like to visit one day. Thanks Sgt Mom.
Texas -- it really is a whole other country -- even inside of Texas the diversity of the land and the people is amazing, it's part of why I love it. Great photographs...
Great pix! Thank you!

Having lived here, near Dallas, just a few years, it still amazes me how much Texas looks like a movie set.

And always there are the cattle, anywhere and everywhere, just poised by the side of the road, nonchalant and chewing.

Really enjoyed!

Andrea
Austin is where it's at! I love the change of environment.
Yes there's something about a tree that immediately says "Texas," and I'm not sure what it is. Is it the shape of the branches? Maybe I'm wrong, but I have a feeling that if you just showed me that tree without anything else in the picture I would immediately think of the Lone Star state.
makes you want to get in the car! thanks!
