I only wanted to share this news with you. I live not far from where this fire is still blazing since yesterday. It keeps growing. It's now 16 miles long and 14 miles wide, so many are evacuating their homes. It's five miles from me. All I can do is pray for these people their animals and homes. It's so hot and dry here in Texas. It hasn't rained in soooo long. I keep watching the sky line, watching the smoke.

The winds aren't helping the firefighters. There is only about a 20% containment as I write this.

There are 56 fires in the state of Texas.  30,000 acres so far are lost.

But with this one being so close I'll admit, it's hitting close to home. I'm praying for several hours of a solid drizzling rain right now.
