 Hamburg Germany 2010

To all my OS friends

Before we forget Christmas

Lets remember it here

All of its brightness

All of its cheer

Before we move on then

And bring in a New Year

Remember the joy that

You so often found here

If this was your Christmas

Found here from

All over the world

In this open place

Special to you

Then make you a wish

For many more days

Full of all this good cheer!

To all at Open Salon, who enjoy this place, Happy New Year!

Thank you to all the editors, programmers, operations people who support this website for the benefit of so many.

Great pics and Happy New Year my friend!!
scanner: Thanks! Pictures courtesy kids, and the sincere wishes, mine!!
Thanks for the gorgeous pictures of Christmas in Germany. And for reminding OSers what we owe to our host.

And to you, Sheila, Ein glückliches neues Jahr!
Leon: Like so many, I was brought up to say thank you, and to appreciate opportunity. With all the rough edges here and some opportunities for improvement, I see what this place has afforded me and I so appreciate it. I wanted to write and practice, I wanted to know if it was readable, and if it was good. I have received feedback this past almost year and I am happy to say, it has changed me, the perception of myself as a writer and many other things. All For Free!!! hahahaha. Thank you for visiting today and have a wonderful New Year! Oh, the pictures, I don't have a lot that are decent from my time in Europe at Christmas, but my son who is there in college right now is taking these and his friends too. The fun thing is that this is not even the son who enjoys picture taking!!!
Happy Holiday, Sheila!!
Thanks for sharing this lovely poem and pictures.
Thanks Fay, right back at you! Best wishes in the very new year!
Sheila, this was a beautiful post and the pictures just gorgeous. Thank you for the good wishes. You're right, there is much to be thankful for here at OS where we are free to write and share openly. Happy New Year to you. R.
Lovely optimistic poem and wonderful pictures. I look forward to another year of reading your posts and your comments. Thank you for your many kindnesses.

Rita: If we all looked at the half full, the half empty would be far more doable and our experience with it learnable. Happy New Year!

Romantic: Thank you for your kindness to me, and Happy New Year!
I didn't realize your part of Germany was so icy.

Snow can be a nuisance,
Ice calls for insuriance.
Leon: I am in the Midwest, two of my kids are now in Luebeck, Germany! My ice is American, but they are having some now too!
Nice photos. Happy New Year.
Mom would say, She has such a pretty face! Dad would say, Why doesn't she show the rest of herself?

You can see what kind of family I come from.
