Taking a break from all things political is not easy, we are a nation, a world in flux. People are the living, breathing, thinking, beings that make the world what it is now or what it might be. We are the ones who help stretch the existence through science and imagination. We are the ones who with the slightest bit of unleashed negative emotion can destroy ourselves and our world.
I am in a place where Star Trek has always looked pretty good, like an ideal in fact. Harmonius existence with all kinds of beings, in all kinds of worlds, still some enemies or those who are not quite on board, but a more united way, a different existence, one focused on respect, well being, and perhaps innovation. A grand kind uptopia, but every year of my life, it seems we get closer. Oh, the politics and wars reign, through the base greed and negative desires of men, but still science moves forward and innovation has not been crushed.
In my life, now in the second half, it is a case of time speeding things up, new technology is constantly changing the scenarios. I just saw a commerical in fact yesterday for Best Buy that was about them buying back your purchase when new technology, coming so quickly, makes it obsolete. Who knew?
So now today, something I got in an email, which is literally too cool not to share. It is from the Corning Glass Company, but it isn't your grandmother's Blue Cornflower cooking casserole dish, nor the French White, but Corning, it is!

Vanessa: Yes, a miracle!! Hahahaha. Mine are in college, but there was a lot of Daddy doing around here....Thanks for stopping!
We are getting there, slowly but surely.
Also: this post is really cool & hardly no one has read it. Just did.
Greg Correll: I keep thinking of all the changes we have been through, both scientifically and politically, can't turn back the clock on either, both would have some very rough consequences.
Sheba Marx: Yes, it is good to see something continue on that provides some stability to an area. Thanks also for the tip about the butterfly post.
