Days after her debate with Chris Coons, Delaware Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell was surprised to discover that Missouri is actually a state.
"Where does it show that?", she asked. "Show me on a map where Missouri is a state".
When shown a map by an advisor, O'Donnell shrugged it off, saying, "Rand McNally? Typical lame-stream media propaganda".
When it was then pointed out that not only was O'Donnell currently appearing in Missouri, but also standing in the state capital building, she was heard saying, "Are you SURE Missouri is a state? It's not a territory? I'm pretty sure it's something we annexed, like Cuba and Nova Scotia".
Despite her apparent lack of knowledge concerning the Constitution and general state trivia, O'Donnell continues to be one of the most popular candidates running this election year. Deborah McNeely, 45 of St. Joseph, said, "Oh, she's a breath of fresh air! We haven't seen anything like her since Mama Bear Palin came along. She's one of the people! She's just like me! Except for the masterbation thing. I masterbate. I'm a masterbatin' fiend. I gotta tell you, I masterbate like a 13-year-old boy. I mean, every ten minutes I'm knuckle-deep in some good ol' fashioned masterbatin' pleasure. In fact, I'm doing it right now, while we're talking. That's how much I like masterbating."
In completely unrelated news, this week Bristol Palin danced while dressed like a monkey.

Boy I need a laugh today, and once again you deliver.
Looking at that pic of her makes me wonder if she is related to Rachel Ray. Rachel being the smarter one in this case.

With her "First Amendment" ploy, she was factually correct but intellectually dishonest. She was demanding Coons show her the phrase "separation of church and state" in the Constitution, knowing perfectly well that phrase isn't in it -- just as she knows that's beside the point. I'd say was engaging in sophistry, except she doesn't know the meaning of the word.
This is an old, old trick of the Rovian Right, but it backfired. She thought she was trapping Coons, when in fact she was only making herself look like an even bigger fool than she is. Problem is even if (when) she loses she wins and will get exactly what she wants out of this election -- fame and fortune.
