Christmas Eve Color Post
It wasn’t an easy choice—as a painter, I simply love colors, with the possible exceptions of shocking pink and orange, or as a childhood friend aptly named it, “monkey-vomit green.” (I see this as a yellowish, muddy, nasty shade of green.) But for the purpose of Will Someone Feed The Cat’s Color Assignment, I choose
Pale, like a celadon vase:

Or like jade:
Clear, like an emerald:
Bright, like young spring leaves:
Inviting, like a lawn or a meadow:

Life-giving, for photosynthesis:
Deep, like a conifer forest:

I like the look of green eyes:
(in a person, or a cat!)

And I find that a pastel green house has a certain retro charm!
And lastly, thanks to Natalie K. Munden for the reminder,
Green like Kermit the frog!

This is a very green post.
Or green, for the Kate Spade bag I asked Santa for.
Yes, I do love green. I'm a big fan of the photosynthesis. It's good stuff.
Rita, Nice celadon sweater. =o)
Lea, I see you chose my OTHER favorite, blue. I almost went with it, but green won.
Lorraine, Thanks! And thanks for thinking of this project
Owl--you just have to know the right shades!
Pilgrim, I just love the spring, when everywhere you look, there's green. I loved my trip to Ireland in 2003 for that reason.
Spotted mind, Thanks.
Scanner.. I have a certain fondness for attractive plaids!
Misson and Surly, thanks!
Mrs. Michaels--I LOVE Emeralds. I'm also rather fond of my jade ring that was a fortieth birthday present from my Mom
Lunchlady, thanks!
Cindy, as the woman going through the pregnancy, I think you should have put your foot down and insisted on Emerald. (But Rebecca is also a nice name.) Thanks for stopping by!
Marcellaqb, thank you! I just plain love green.
Steve, sending you warm, springish thoughts!
Skeletonwmn, calming and healthy, you got that right. =o)
Natalie... Omigosh! I can't believe I forgot Kermit!
I like these greens, too. Thanks for looking at my collection.
