Spontaneous celebration in the streets, throughout the Muslim world and Europe.
What is left of the Palestinians will crowd into tent cities in Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, and Egypt. Impoverished and restive, the refugees will clash with the governments of the host nations bringing periodic retribution, ignored by the outside world.
The Brooklyn Haredim, in a collective state of shock, will mourn in the way of their ancestors, in sackcloth and ash. Leftist Jew-haters in librarian glasses will organize bus tours from Williamsburg and Park Slope to Crown Heights, to jeer and laugh at the mourners.
College campuses will kick off the first “Liberation Day,” with a week of celebration. Jewish students who are not visibly jubilant will be physically attacked.
The slogan “Never Again” will be replaced with “Again, Please!”
Moral relativism will triumph.
Apocalyptic Christians will split into different camps on what it portends for the Second Coming.
An American-made comedy adaptation of “Black Rain,” the Japanese film about the aftermath of Hiroshima, will be a box office smash.
A new, more pornographic version of "The Reader," will pack the art-house theaters.
Holocaust revision will be revisited by the Left. A new narrative of WWII will be drafted: Hitler was still fascist (not “evil”), but the Jews were provocateurs, and the six million figure was exaggerated.
A temporary spike in sexual demand for Arab men on campuses will benefit the short supply of willing suppliers.
Levi, Wiesel, Frank, Borowski, will go out of print and forgotten.
Genocide as an art form will be the new rave. Wide canvases and multi-color tinted photographs of piled corpses will be scrutinized for the play of light and shadow, the richness of color, the beauty of repetition.

why not ask them? i don't think the jewish crusade is going to work out.
ironically, the implication you're making is that genocide is totally ok if israel commits it. if it was wrong for hitler to exterminate jews because that was politically convenient, then it's also wrong for the jews to exterminate palestinians (or the lebanese or the syrians or whoever israel goes nuts on...) because they're sick of going to camp david.
so i'll ask you... why do you think it was wrong for hitler to exterminate the jews? i mean, i think it was wrong, and that's why i'm critical of israel when they blow up small children. it's not acceptable behavior from anyone and the israelis are far more accomplished at it than the palestinians.
Perhaps one reason that Israel does not utilize enough self-reflection is the myopia of its critics. The ME is a human-rights wasteland. Of all the atrocities in the Muslim world since '48, the Israel/Palestine conflict rates very low in terms of scale, yet Israel is the focus of intense hatred throughout the world. Why is that?
Can you tell me how many were killed in the Algerian civil war of the nineties? Probably not. Many more than have ever been killed in the Is/Pa conflagration, but nobody cares.
Your the Jews=Hitler is a neat, cynical trick. You'll be one of the revellers and H1 deniers my piece predicted. Seen "The Reader" yet? That Nazi chica had a great rack, ha?
As I suggested in your post, your/you're poses an insurmountable problem to you; and your knowledge of geopolitics probably extends about as far as your bloodshot eyes can see.
Suggest you stick to attempting to write nihilistic comments to accompany your sophisticated musical tastes.
As for your reference to others who actually are able to express coherent thoughts as retards, I suggest you try googling "Freudian Projection" and seeing if you find anything comprehensible and familiar therein.
Are you still on your wine only fast?
Does this sentence make ANY sense to you. If so, can you explain the meaning to me? Would my presumption that you never read ANYTHING written by Mr. Zinn be a correct one?
"Go move to the nations you purport to protect and love...you'll be crying to get back into America."
I've been to the countries I write about. I haven't the slightest desire to return to a country represented by folk like you. Have you ever been outside the states?
"don't . . . know much about Arab / Israeli politics"
Then you should just STFU - I would never presume to try and discuss metal/goth music with you, because I don't know about it, nor do I wish to!
so really, why was the holocaust wrong? what's your rationale?
"Of all the atrocities in the Muslim world since '48, the Israel/Palestine conflict rates very low in terms of scale, yet Israel is the focus of intense hatred throughout the world."
i don't hate israel. i don't hate any country because it is starkly unproductive. this is an assumption you're making.
"Perhaps one reason that Israel does not utilize enough self-reflection is the myopia of its critics. "
that is ridiculous and insulting to the people of israel.
i simply think they should be treated like people, not a symbol. that's what i am doing. if israel wipes out palestine, it is still wrong.
and if you grant that israel has done some horrible stuff in her history, then this post is just meaningless, destructive rhetoric. it does a disservice to people who are genuinely interested in what happens in the region.
if you really wish more people worried about algerians, why didn't you blog about that, instead of ranting about what fictional people might do to celebrate an imaginary holocaust?

Israel has not and will not "wipe out" Palestine. I think that they should be treated as people too, not as the "symbol" of all that is evil in the world. The UN was created in response to the Holocaust, but has issued more proclamations about Israel than any nation, while doing nothing to stop dozens of human rights disasters that make Is/Pa look like a Care Bear convention.
The Algerian civil war is over, so excuse me for not posting a stop the war piece. Incidentally, if Israel-haters really cared about oppressed Muslims, they might spend a proportionate amount of their outrage on Muslim regimes, but I won't expect that.
I was hardly "ranting." I imagined a future that if history is a predictor, is possible.
