Looking through the rubble of my real life after six months on Open Salon (translation: I started cleaning off the piles on my desk), I uncovered this partial glossary to OS. Perhaps others have found the missing fragments - if so, please share them below in Comments or on your blog, for the good of all of OS. Who knows, if I'd only found this sooner, maybe my life would have turned out differently. I offer it forthwith to save other OSers. ~ Ed.

They say it is a good thing when you find something that makes you lose track of time... good for the heart or something. I hope so!
OSteopaths: Even as our bodies break down, we can't help but follow the trail of comments from posters to see where they have been.
OScillating Fans: People who rate and comment out of both sides of their mouth.
OSins 11: The number of mysterious people that decide EPs.
OSvacation - (1) the act of deliberately obscuring with non-germane information, frequently in a verbose manner, with the intent of providing a non-answer, (2) taking a short time away from OS and coming back to find that most of your favorites have flounced and your readership has dwindled to nothing.
Keep the additions coming! I love all of them, although "OScillating fans" may be my favorite so far....
Adorable!
OScillate - verb. to spin around in merriment after receiving an EP or a rating of over 10!!!
Osandwich- when you and an OS buddy comment to each other in a third party blogs comments.
CondOScention- reminding everyone that you've been here since beta, the typed form of eye rolling at newbies, the implication that someones premise is somehow due to a personal issue instead of possibly a valid point.
OStrasize alienating oneself from the truth slightly for the purpose of making a good post a little better by "enlarging" it. Kind of like a fish story.
Very funny and clever post and I'm liking those tags, BTW ;)
As in: "Silkstone, have you ever been Osandwiched by two gay men. Get ready for the ride of your life, guhhhrl!"
This may be the most jaw-droppingly simultaneously funny and accurate thing I've read in MONTHS.
clever term. How's about OS(z)one, as in being lost in the OS(z)one,
once one has been OSmosified. Hey. I tried.
lOSt my cherry= 1st pOSt
OShat (noun) - a. The OS term for asshole. b. The lovely adornment on Joan's head.
Brilliant. (And I like the additions by Cartouche, Wayne, Lea, Cathy, TiJo, CL78 and others.)
I'd use more superlatives, but that would be OS-kissing.

This is a fun post, just what we need here for a change.
