Born and raised in the Philippines, Roy Cruz moved to Los Angeles and became a stand up comedian performing in Los Angeles and its environs. He has headlined at the Maui Arts Cultural Center, Salt Lake Pride Festival, Lake Tahoe Winterfest and is a regular at the annual Outlaugh GLBT Comedy Festival. He created the hit show Streep Tease: Meryl Streep Monologues Performed by an All-Male Cast that ran for 18 months in Los Angeles and recently had it's New York debut last June 27th at Joe's Pub / Public Theater. He is currently writing more essays about his favorite movies and female characters from movies that changed his life or afterlife.
