Wow, I woke up to this astonishing response. Thank you, everyone who came by and left a sweet comment. This picture was just a goof I did last year. When I was younger, I was so camera shy, I have only a couple of pictures from my twenties, and none from my teens. I'm getting braver.

Buffy, I take the point. The hat picture was a little photo project by Just Cathy at the OS get together in San Francisco--she put the hat on all our heads and took pictures. I loved the picture so I stole it for my avatar. If she hadn't posted that picture, I would probably never have put up a picture of me.

Sirenita, this is at 56? wow.! Yes you are beautiful but that is a given despite your picture phobia. BUT there is depth and intelligence in your face and a sense of peace actually now that i am looking at it a little longer. I love it.
