THE CRUNCH: WILL YOU SURVIVE?
I’ve said it before, and I’ll likely say it again.
We, in the “Western” nations, are in for a very rough ride in the relatively near future. Our economic system is not working well for the most of us and all the efforts of the elite to keep us under control will probably result in a complete social collapse right along with the coming economic crunch. My best guess as to when this will happen is between one and thirty years. But whether I have the timing right or not, it will happen.
It is time for those of you who want to ensure your survival to begin to prepare. Those who do not prepare will probably die. Those who do prepare may die also if they’re not fully armed and equipped to defend themselves from huge mobs of starving people who didn’t prepare but who have no intention of starving. They’ll kill for food. You would too, if you were them. Worse, if they kill you who are prepared, they’ll not just eat up what you’ve put down for hard times, they’ll eat your seeds. That means that there will be NO crops in the next year after the collapse. In that first two years after the collapse – especially in the winter – about 90% of our population will die.
The cities no longer have, on hand, many weeks supply of food. They now keep only about 3 days worth. That will be grabbed up instantly. Tens of millions of city dwellers will be getting hungry by week two. They’ll begin to exit the cities very quickly after that. In huge mobs. They’ll make locusts look like pikers in the way they clear the countryside of all edible things. I expect cannibalism to be common within 2 weeks. If you doubt this, ask yourself: “How far will I go rather than see my loved ones – especially my young children – starve in front of my eyes?” I don’t know how far you will go, but for myself, you’ll either be very tough and fast or you’ll be lunch.
Although there are any number of ways that even city dwellers can provide sufficient food for themselves, 99% won’t. They are too busy making money for that new car or bigger TV, or whatever. Even if they knew how, which they don’t, once the economy collapses, it’ll be too late to do so. And those city dwellers who do prepare will be the first attacked by hungry others.
So what CAN you do?
Here’s my suggestion. Join together now with other family and friends to form a fairly large co-operative group. Sell your urban homes. Put your money together and buy good farmland in an easily defended location with a hospitable climate; perhaps an island or mountain valley. Move your families out there. Work in the cities if you must, but spend your weekends and holidays on your co-op farm. If you continue to work in the city, you can join together with others of your group, rent a large, empty, commercial building and set up low cost dorms for you to stay in during your work week.
Learn from the local people. Get your crops in. Use tractors and other power equipment until the crunch, then be prepared to work your land by hand. Buy or make the equipment to do so. And fortify, fortify, fortify! You’re going to be invaded if you don’t. Arm yourselves and learn how to use those weapons expertly. You need to survive through two or three years of being raided. After that the remaining population will be very small and mostly consist of others, like yourselves, who survived by being prepared. You will be the new beginning.
So what happens if there is no “Big Crunch” that causes the collapse of civilization as we know it? Well, when carrots are selling for $145.00 a dozen, bread for $72.00 a loaf, and meat for $260.00 a pound, you’ll have your own supplies. You’ll also have a great place to raise your kids and grandkids. You’ll have a tightly knit community to be a valued and respected part of. You may even have a life! One that doesn’t depend on stupid, mind destroying TV shows and a constant fear of loss of employment that drives you to back-stabbing ‘competition’ with your fellow workers.
Crunch or no crunch; Either way, you win!
Best of luck to you…….
