- Bio
- Mom, small-scale organic farmer, scientist and former teacher. I believe in "live and let live" but I detest bullies and bigots. I love life with just a few select friends, family, and lots of animals to love and tend to. I am working on not being so idealistic and letting things get to me. Still, I eventually come back to the truly good things in life: good health, enjoying songbirds singing or watching my entertaining pets and poultry, spending time with select humans who respect one another and do their best to make it a better world, the first daffodils of spring, picking fresh veggies or fruit that we grow. The rest is pretty much hogwash.

The Unknown Man (revised)
Several years ago, one of my favorite aunts began to

recall my parents or my grandmother telling me anything about
him.
Apparently, he was a drifter of sorts. During the summer of 1932, he traveled the railroad tracks… Read full post »

My Experience of Being Free at Last
Two nights ago, our mayor read three of my posts on this site to the dozen citizens who showed up for the monthly board of alderman meeting. With the exception of my husband, the one who is typically the only citizen there, the others had been "invited" by… Read full post »
