The Fifteen Minute Lily

I sketched this yesterday afternoon and sent it to Outside Myself as a little pick-me-up. Yeah, I should have been working, but when the mood strikes you've got to go with it.
 
I hope it brings her another smile to see it here, and perhaps provide one for you, too.

Sweetheart ~ When the email came in yesterday with the title "A lily for you" as I mentioned on the phone later, I made a quiet plea in my heart that it wasn't a photograph, but a drawing by you. I wasn't disappointed. You know how much I love your artistic ability and the flower drawings you've been sending lately are so soothing to my soul.

So yes, indeed, a smile yesterday and another one today. Thank you, darling. I love you.

Bill - Thanks! Angela has most of what I've done recently. I'd like to draw more often but, you know with life and everything, I don't have as much time as I'd like. I did a little watercolor painting back in college but only recently started drawing flowers and using design markers for color.

scanman - I'm going to have to disagree with you there buddy; love has been perfectly beautiful. But thank you and I hope she did a lot of smiling.
