Slate.com had a little Valentine's Day thing where they asked readers to submit "picture haiku" love stories told with three pictures and a few words. I didn't submit anything to Slate but thought of OS first and decided to put my little picture haiku out here instead.
Valentine's Day, it seems, is like the New York football Giants: you either love it or hate it. With regard to February 14th, I was more towards the latter opinion for a long time. But, as does sometimes happen, my opinion changed. Thank you, Angela...Happy Valentine's Day.

The first time we kissed
In October, '09....wow!
My best fall ever

Now we mostly meet
On the west coast. We love wine
And the Pacific

But last November
She was here...we did taste wine
And threw dried corn cobs

Each one brings such beautiful memories...including the corn cob rockets. So fun!
I'm grateful that you come to my side of the country so often so we can be together. I miss you when you're not here... Like now.
I love you. ~xoxoxo~

Midwest - Thankfully, our bird friend was on the other side of the big window we were looking out of! Happy V-Day to you, too.

Thank you for your words and try to stop in more often. Come to think of it, I should take that advice myself!
