Not really that fixated on grammar, but it's fun pretending. Find the errors in this sentence: I texed him last night to advice him, "Its time to reign in the cat, its to full of it's self.'

Godzilla in our front yard, viewed from sons' window

Rate: 17 Flag

geckozilla

Looking into my two sons' room was always an act of courage.  They shared a 10x11' room for years, but never admitted that they could lessen the claustrophobia by being just a little more tidy.  Their beds stood perpetually unmade, blankets hopelessly tangled beneath roosting cats, and I shuddered to think what might hide underneath.  Rotting PE clothes?  Melted popsicles?  Backpacks from elementary school, never emptied?  The closet was so full that the door could no longer be closed.  Discarded socks and boxers littered the floor, while jeans with frayed hems festooned the desk chairs.  The sight (and smell) could make the most intrepid mother turn pale.

But here is evidence that I did, at least once, venture into their territory.  On a spring day, their hero from childhood, Godzilla, came to sit in the tree in our front yard.

But by then, Mike was working at Target fulltime, and Stephen was at college.  Godzilla posed for a few pictures, and then forlornly left.

Cool! Maybe next time you can capture Mothra!
All three kids were CRAZY about Godzilla during their childhood. They collected all the movies on videocassette and would watch them entranced. I guess Godzilla was their "Puff the magic dragon."
Harry, I'm going for King Ghidorah next. Or Gigan.
I once in my daughter's room a pillowcase containing Halloween candy. This would have been no big deal except she hadn't trick-or-treated for like 8 years.

That is a gorgeous tree outside the window! And Godzilla is kind of cool, & fortunate that he didn't get into the house, what with the cats & all...
(that's supposed to be "found" a pillowcase...)
Cute little fellow. Missing the boys... or the smell. lol Great view!!
EEK!! ~flees into the thorn bushes~ :D

Rated!!!
This is so kitch and fun...thanks!
Or he found the screen on their window convenient for a food source. Ook. The only smell I have to worry about is the litter box.
Snippy, for goodness sakes - unlax, it's the Geiko Gecko!
Godzilla is a lot cuter than I thought.
chameleonzilla!
The room sounds terrifying s-dog
I love this. Godzilla lives under our mailbox right now. And Jacob's room is not quite this bad yet, but he's only 8 and there's only one of him. I fear for his teen years...
terrifically clever, cindy, and good to see godzilla stomping through the tree's flowers, being his smashing self.

we have lots of lizards here, too, and i caught a pic of a *baby* one once on a screen, like you have here. he (she?) was only about an inch and a half long from nose to tip of tail, amazingly small. so cool.
I have horrible memories of Godzilla, since I almost came to blows with a woman in the theater showing the godawful version of that movie Sony puked-up. Who the hell thot it was a good idea to turn a kiddie sci-fi franchise into a r-rated travesty? As for the godzilla who attacked me in the theater, well, that's a long, sad story for another time and place.
Oh, and congrats on the EP!! Surprise, surprise!!
A concise illustration of how perspective can bannish our fear.
Reading this reminds me: I really must wash my gym clothes. I have also read some of your earlier posts and added you to my favorites list.R
We had a similar beastie, but he was named the "Lizard of Oz." No man's land for sure...my daughter's room had similar hidden "wonders" - rated!
King Kong skerrd him off. :-)
I loved the context provided for this shot...beautifully done. Perhaps I identified w/ my own two sons (4 and 7) sharing a tiny room now, one pushes his bed (mattress on the floor) unde the other ones bed spring. They love it, and each other, as I'm sure your sons do too, being in such close quarters for so long....

great to read you again...
