So much of the stuff I read seems to be missing the big picture. I enjoy OS, and have learned much about culture from reading, commenting, writing and reading the comments you, my fellow key pounders make. I feel the tone of your writing and it forces me to take stock of my own projections into this and every space we share. I grow from this, but more important, I return to who I know I am, and what I am truly grateful for after reading your posts and comments feeling just a little better each day.
I have been blessed from birth, broken and rebuilt time and time again. I am here to feel, and be felt by the earth I walk on; and, in the light of the sun and other distant stars, be seen and counted as a living part of them, nothing more or less. The only difference between me and anyone else might be that I know who I am, and where I come from, and where I will go after my spirit has been freed from this amazing gift that I have been given, this creature Nature has crafted to carry me for as long and far as I can manage.
Now, some of you out there do not see Culture a tiny little bit of Nature as I do. Some of you think Nature is woods and trees - fish and stuff. Some of you think that my view of Nature is spiritual and subjective, and since I have an open mind, I do my best to process all this. For those of you locked into a world view and belief system that does not place Nature at its very center, I say grow up. For those of you who do not consider Nature to be at the root of every issue, idea, or action.. then try forgetting to breathe. There is a bigger picture, always, and when we forget it, we are ...well, only human. And yes, we are human but we have been given the ability to trascend the limitations of greed, anger, and delusion that we acquire - not from birth, not from Nature, but by isolation from Nature, from feeling, and from truth.
We will not escape life without meeting face to face with Nature, no matter how deluded we live out our days. There is no scientific evidence that I know of that suggests anything I have written here is wrong, and I welcome debate. We cannot solve real problems when we are deluded, attached to a culture crafted by and for the delusional.
