I didn't give myself the name So Polite because it's an accurate personality description.  No, while I was setting up my account on OS I had itunes on shuffle, and the song that happened to be playing was Silversun Pickups' "Little Lover's So Polite."  Simple coincidence.  My name right now could just as easily be "Take the A Train" or "Out on the Weekend" or "Bitters and Absolut" (actually I kind of like that last one.) 

I didn't actually expect to have more than one post.  I had written this 7000-word piece about a close friendship that ended when I fell in love with the friend and said feelings were not reciprocated.  Instead of leaving it on my hard drive I put it on a blog.  It felt more therapeutic to get it out into the world.  Then I started reading some other blogs and couldn't resist commenting and then I put up a couple of other posts, so here we are.  I suppose I'll leave the name for now.
