William Saletan's writing on abortion has been a primary driver of my thought on the issue. While I disagree with some of his assessments, his thinking on the topic forces me to think harder.
In the below clip, he's discussing abortion ethics and politics with Steven Waldman. I haven't watched to (well, listened to: the premise that I want to watch bloggers talking—unless one of them is Emily Bazelon1—is absurd) it all yet. But it's a fascinating conversation between two people who are broadly knowledgeable about the topic and looking for politically viable solutions to one of the most vexing political problems in America.
(Problem with the Flash player? Saletan has the video embedded in his blog, Human Nature.)
1 Slate/DoubleX writer and chatterer Emily Bazelon. Massive swoon. At some point, I'll write a Women We Love article on her. Esquire, alas, will not be purchasing the article. Philistines.
