Tonight/Last night, I got home from work and was a bit riled up about comments that were made on one of my posts. I never even touch my computer after work, but I couldn’t resist. I logged on to OS and I sent a message to a friend to ask their advice about my dilemma and then got to reading Cartouche’s blog (saw it at work and couldn’t read it “quick” between actual work--"At What Cost Freedom of Speech?").
I cried and commented. It speaks for these crazy times that, unless you were born 75+ years ago (shout out to my Mom!), are new to us as far as the economy goes, but everything else has been slowly evolving...Into EXACTLY, what we, as a society, have made it to be.
I have witnessed (can I get an “Amen!”) the personal attacks on others, and recently, a completely, idiotic attack on myself.
You know what? I remember Cartouche’s post, not long ago, about her thought process on OS ("What was she thinking?")and she mentioned something about buzzing over posts that didn’t interest her (all about titles). I know she’s probably not interested in mine, since I do write the fluff, but I don’t care! I am not trying to appeal to ALL audiences! (Nor has she singled me out to comment on meaningless writing--thanks!) If you don’t agree with someone, can you NOT politely move along, or leave an intelligent comment about your viewpoint without degrading the writer?
I know, I know…there are miserable, unhappy, lonely people out in the world who just want someone else to be just as unhappy as they are. Blah, blah, blah…apparently at OS they troll looking for a post to prey on.
I read a ton of posts everyday and comment about 50% of the time. And when I do, it’s not about their avatar or personal appearance (unless perhaps, that is what the post is about). I like to add my 2 cents to build someone up that (in my opinion) is worthy. Sometimes the posts are thought-provoking, sometimes they’re just for a good laugh--Isn’t that what this is all about?
Disclaimer: My intention was not for this blog to be about Cartouche ( I won’t even put her in the tags). We do not know each other and I am not being paid to write this. By her, or anyone else. If you are offended by my “hippie” point of view, too bad… Unless you’re Cartouche, in which I will immediately delete this post, as it refers to you.
P.S. I tried really hard to link to the above mentioned posts. I have put links in posts before (so, NO, I'm not an idiot), but I've been at this over an hour and I'm tired. Sorry. You can get to Cartouche's blog relatively easy.
And peace be with you.

For the record, this post wasn't about someone criticizing my looks--that meant nothing compared to the attacks & hatefulness I had seen on other posts.
