sort of bazaar

Rate: 27 Flag

The elephants on parade just stood and watched.

              good luck

Fresh cigarette smoke wrapped  like a silk scarf around ylang-ylang incense trails and mingled with the vanilla/sandalwood fragrance of the candles burning. The late afternoon sun warmed the exotic spice air that filled my living room and he told me that it smelled like what Morocco looks like in movies.

“Sex on Fire” could certainly be heard, from the radio…

…from the wipes-off-easy leather sofa with the chocolate-plush faux fur throw that captured  and held for days, maybe weeks, a strand or two of his long, jet black hair. Sounds were made.  A low moan escaped someone’s lips, accompanied by the occasional faint clink of metal against a tooth.  Elbows, hips, arms & legs jostling about created a jingle from the small bells that chimed out of the four corners of saffron yellow pillows.

                    jingle jangle

He tasted like beer, youth, vibrancy, and belonged in this emporium of things that are intriguingly cool to me. Caught my eye, had to have it--to look at and to touch. A collection of curiosities, some set atop hand-painted shelves—stripes of crimson red, burnt umber, gold, espresso—like the bronze genie lamp, longing to be rubbed…

                     3 wishes

Now, the kitchen is a different story. ;-)
Hippies, despite the ylang ylang, can have their uses:P
The kitchen huh? Do you have an attic story as well?
This was great. You write beautifully of the simplest of things, seemingly with ease!
so don't go in the kitchen, silly.

reliving? how about reenacting? this sounds luscious. yummm.
So that's where you've been.....? Mmmmmmmmm.
I try hard to keep all my elephant trunks, which are many, toward the front door. What a great comeback!!!!!!
Nana: Love hippies...especially the dirty ones. ;-)
Geraint: nope, no attic stories here yet.
Scanner: Thank you for that great compliment. Glad you liked this.
femme: We'll see... never say never, right?
O: You know where I've been. Quit it--this is from last year. ;-)
Lunchlady: Aha! So you KNOW! Thanks, and it's good to be back.
"smelled like what Morocco looks like" cool:)))
The kitchen???? : )
Don't stay away so long next time already... even if you post about faux sexual things every time (just pimpin' Stellaa).
Real life can wait. This is really good.
Well, then ... very sensual and romantic
An elephant with trunk down, not good. Trunk up - very good!
I don't know about bazaar; but rated for delicious! ;)
Oh my o day. More eating and more sex,
and darn slow downloads make me hungry.
I feel like inviting Guest over for a luncheon.
ASAP. free victuals!
blue mashed spuds!
swallow all at lunch!
huh.

I'm famished. Thanks.

"sort of bazaar" Oho.

oak itch ivy salad with
fingerling blue potato
bee balm honey tisane
O clean roach cabinets.
put osage orange there.
O Osage Orange Prickly.
They rid of lice bedbugs.
Terrific. And their trunks must be up._r
I am going to light some candles RIGHT NOW. This was so evocative, spotted. Loved it. Rated.
Were you cookin' in that kitchen? Rated.
Trig: Yup.
JD: Some other kitchen, in some other home, on some other day perhaps. ;-)
Trig redux: Glad you liked it--I'll remember that you said "real life can wait." ;-)
Scarlett: {wink, wink, nudge, nudge}!!
Sparking: Mmmmmm, mmmm...good. Thanks!
Art: I am detecting a theme here in the comments. I'm starving too. ;-)
Joan: Another fan of the upward trunks, eh?
xenon: Now, now...get your mind out of the oven. Thanks for reading! :-)
Susan: Fragrance is an important aspect of my life. I'm happy to share some of it with you! Thanks.
Beautifully written.. Go relive it again and again..
Good to see you around.
Excellent explanation for your absence. :) I didn't know about the elephants, but love the languid sensuality of this piece.
If this was the living room story, I can't wait for the freaking BEDROOM story!!!
Elephant trunks towards the front door. Got it.

Sensual memories are the best, aren't they?
Those darn voyer elephants! R.
Oooh! Lush. Nice to see you again--hope all that work stuff is better. I did not know about the trunks facing the door. I think that is why my life is somewhat screwed up. I am hurrying now to rectify that situation. Many thanks.
'He tasted like beer, youth, vibrancy, and belonged in this emporium of things that are intriguingly cool to me.'

My first real kiss, in high school, tasted like beer. That's still my favorite kind of kiss.

Loved this.
FE: Aw, thanks! Good to be back.
aim: Love that you liked this--languid...yes. :-)
Torman: LOL! You won't hear about that from me. ;-)
Smithery: And sometimes it takes a while to be able to write about them, but this one was good for me.
Patty Jane: They're all over the place here!
Good Daughter: Hi and thanks! Yes, facing the front door can sometimes be tricky, but remember too--trunks always UP!
WUS: So glad you liked this and get it. :-)
I love this. Your tags are the kickers. I like that smell, that sound and that feel.
You've clearly been doing something right in your time away to produce this sensual ditty:)
Rita: Hey, thanks for reading--glad you dig it!
Caroline: Just escaping my banal existence momentarily to trip down memory lane... ;-)
"He tasted like beer, youth, vibrancy..."
Man, I love that. Some people just make you feel that careless and alive.
And I'm with Smithery on the memories thing...

And I'm with everyone else who said to stay the hell back here and don't go away again. Unless your doing, um, research for the next post like this one. GOT IT?
Glad to see you back, spotted! And now to my comment . . .

::thud::

;~)
I´m heading towards the bazaar to buy a couple of those elephants, hehe!
It´s nice to see you again.
Kisses,
Marcela
OM: Thanks for seeing this for what it was. As far as "research" goes...um, yes... We shall see! ;-)
Owl: LOL! xoxoxo
Marcela: Thanks for stopping by--good to see you too!
I also dream of genie.
R
littlewillie: True story: I once sketched out a design for a genie bottle inspired living room. I may still do that...
"He tasted like beer, youth, vibrancy, and belonged in this emporium of things that are intriguingly cool to me."
Oh my dear, I missed your words. You took a few weeks off from OS for a bit there, no? Maybe because I did, I assumed my favorites did as well, and you constitute as a fav, this post solidfying that. Rated.
They say that the kitchen is the heart of the home. Yum!
