Rich Man, Poor Man

Rate: 9 Flag

Howdy Y'all!!! Ol' rwnutjob decided to get another blog going due to the worsening economic situation.

As many of you know, the rich have been getting richer and the poor have been getting poorer and the middle class................decimated. I'm still down on my luck  and based on the posts of other OS'ers who are also in a pickle or who just have some good ways to save some money, I thought I'd get a new blog going.

The purpose of this blog is to offer money saving tips and advice to folks. Many of you have posted money saving recipes and numerous ways to stretch a dollar and I thought it would be nice to consolidate some of them in one blog.

I would also like to copy and paste some of your money saving posts to this blog. (If the ads make any money and you want a share of the revenue, if any, that's fine with me just let me know)

Some folks on Open Salon have helped other OS'ers out with cash donations, which shows the character and generosity of some of you, but the main purpose of this blog is to offer tips and advice so that those of us who are hurting can save some money.

Thanks in advance for participating. If you are an OS'er who has done some money saving tip posts in the past and you would not mind me using them, send me the link.

No politics, religion or judgement/condescension on this blog please. Let's just help each other out.

Thanks Torman. You're in. I'll try to get some more posts up soon.
this is a very good idea. ~R~
Great idea!
Good on you for that very last sentence too--no need for that here.
Look forward to more.
:-)
I'm happy to follow this blog.
This is a great idea. I like it. Now I just have to figure out ways to save money.
There once was a hermit named Dave.
Who kept a dead whore in his cave.
Although we must admit.
It smelled like shit.
Think of the money he saved !
Thank you Chuck, spotted, Roger and Andy for the support!!

Uh, davyboy, you have to consider relative value. Boinking a dead whore may appear to offer a savings, however, it would be offset by the additional expense of having to buy all that extra KY Lube to keep the decomposing corpse constantly greased up. The fact that you did not account for that shows the necessity of this blog.

Hopefully it will be useful.
Thanks Squeakin, chafing is not an option.
Sign me up--especially Cheap Bastid!
Love your Cheap Bastid recipies Walter. Was hoping you'd come aboard.
Cost saving advice: don't vote for socialists and Marxists.
poorsinner and Kyle, good to see y'all here.

You too Stellaa and John. Good advice from you both.
I am here too. Bring it!
Cost saving advice; don't eat!
Just ask Lex!
Welcome aboard Alexis and Junk.
How about buying produce only when you have PLAN for when you are going to eat it? Nothing much sadder than throwing away expensive produce that has gone bad because we didn't pay attention.
Good point Natalie. If one was to add up a decade or two or three's worth of tossed rotten veggies, I dare say the total dollar amount would be significant (and upsetting).
Why am I always the last to know? You're talking to the poorest person on OS. My house is so small all the mice are humpback!! (I like you mouse) Thanks, if I can think of any, I will definitely send them your way. This is a great idea and I thank you for helping others!
