I am blogging!  What should I write about?  What can I write about?  Am I selfish for writing?  Am I a writer?  I don't think I'm a writer.

I am learning Italian via Michel Thomas discs.  I just finished the 4th disc and I don't know how to say "I am learning to speak Italiano".  Parlare Italiano.  To speak Italian.

I used to write a lot.  Livejournal, myspace.  I was an open book to a degree that embarasses me if I look back on it.  Was I selfish then? 

I'm 28.  I have an 8-year-old daughter.  I am not now nor have I ever been nor am I on the verge of being married.  My 25-year-old brother married his long-time girlfriend last month and she is due to have their first baby in November.

My 27-year-old sister is in Paris for a month.  She just saved up her vacation time from her job as a person answering phones at a Spanish-speaking call center, and she just left.  I have some of her keys.  I am helping her take care of her cat.

My girlfriend just started graduate school, pursuing her Master's degree in Social Work.  She just turned 24.  I don't have a college degree, far from it.  I have a daughter.  She started piano lessons this week.
