Just a quick definition for my made-up word.
Animalogical - from the Latin word anima meaning the inner self of an individual; the soul and logical meaning the orderly progression of things.
I created this word to express the age of the soul/mind. In my journey as a human, I've noticed that people have two ages - the number of years they have been present on Earth and the maturity/growth of their soul/mind.
Some people are chronologically old and animalogically young. This does not mean that they are young at heart!! Being young at heart is a sign of an old, wise soul. It means that they deal with drama and situations at 45 or 50 the same way that a 15-year-old would.
Vice versa, the chronologically young and animalogically old seem wise beoynd their years. I'm one of those people. That is not a brag, that is based on what other people have told me and careful observation on how I react to things in comparison to my peers.
Chronological age is just something that happens to us. As the Earth rotates around the Sun and adds another 586,920,000 miles to the odometer, we add another year to our age. (don't get me started on the whole time=distance thing. (: )
Animalogical age changes as we move though life and experience. I don't know exactly what makes us age animalogically, just know that it happens. I suspect that reaction to adversity, our perspective on our place in the world and resilience plays a part in it. I'd be happy to hear any reasons you may believe affect it.
