on the "Krauthammer Scale."
Checking the pulse of the wingnuts is often a definitive way of determining the effectiveness of Obama’s speeches. Based on what I call the "Krauthammer Scale," Obama’s Wednesday speech rated a solid ten.
Charles Krauthammer is a rightwing pundit who has a strong penchant for getting everything wrong. In fact, as Media Matters has pointed out, he never let’s facts get in the way of his attempts to rile up the base against the dirty-hippie libruls.
The Krauthammer Scale is a contra-measure of how well Obama performs. If Charles says nothing after an Obama speech, the president scores a mid-range five. If Charles praises the president’s speech, as he did when Obama announced that he would extend the Bush tax cuts for the rich in December, Obama scores close to zero. If he goes berserk after one of Obama's speeches, based on unsupportable evidence and pumped-up backing from his fat cat puppet-masters, we know that the president scores close to double digits.
So, based on this reaction from Charles Krauthammer concerning Obama’s budget presentation, the president scored very high on his Wednesday speech:
Charles ripped into Obama’s speech on Fox News. For a minute there, I thought his head was going to explode. He said:
“I thought it was a disgrace. I rarely heard a speech by a president so shallow, so hyper-partisan, and so intellectually dishonest..”
I love it when Charlie goes bonkers.
Congratulations Mr. President. You scored tops on the Krauthammer Scale this week.
