Talk about the high price of health care! Every day the health insurance industry spends 1.4 million dollars to stop health insurance reform. EVERY DAY. They pay for faulty research from the Lewin Group (owned by United Health) , pay campaign staffers for Astroturf grass roots revolts and they buy our legislators with million dollar campaign contributions. Every day, 1.4 million is a lot of money. When this is over, the insurance insurance industry will need to recoup that money. It will come from your and me.
Hey Congress! When our premiums have doubled again and more and more people are denied coverage, when children are dying because the insurance company delays approval of emergency appendectomies how will you defend your actions? When services are cut and care is rationed what will you say? If you think those town hall meetings are a mob scene now – wait till you let the health insurance industry stop the reforms. Wait till your constituants find out who you really work for.
