Okay, I've been thinking about this, too, for different reasons, but here's one positive thing: you'll probably come across stuff you thought you lost or threw out by accident or something, and so it's kind of like a treasure hunt!

Good luck and I truly do hope the whole process ends up being way better than you thought.

You got me. Though I'd argue there are at least three good things about packing for a move: you find things you lost; you think about the weight of the things you're carrying to the next house and you realize some things aren't worth the backache; and...well, maybe there are only two.
