Your average inconsistent X'er I used to care very much about being a good Republican, but I don't know what that means anymore. I now focus my energies on writing about growing up, the politics of Animal Welfare. I volunteer. I organize fund raisers. I do my best to raise awareness about cruelty, gay penguins, stupid people who keep wild animals as pets and showing funny cat videos. I also write extensively about my family who would probably laugh about this blog, then choke me (but not hard enough for it to be a felony). Another Dead Rhino: Warning - Graphic Photo & Rant

Rate: 10 Flag

This is disturbing but people should see it.

So this was the last female rhino in the a wild animal park in south Africa.  Her horn was cut off while she was alive. She bled to death.

Why?

Because some people believe their horns have medicinal powers so poachers can sell them for very exorbitant prices.

I don't get it.

What the fuck are they thinking? Seriously.  Why kill the animals that have these magical body parts. Don't they understand that once something is dead it's not making any baby animals with magical body parts that will have more babies with magical body parts?

Also Rhinos are ENDANGERED.  This means their aren't many left, so when these fuckers kill a breeding aged female endangered animal they are also killing the possibility of future magical body parts.  Don't they see this could end the chain?

This is clearly the same dumbtarded asshattery they must have been employing on Easter Island when they were cutting down the last trees. I imagine someone on Easter Island was yelling "Hey assholes if you cut down all they trees soon we'll become mother fucking cannibals." But no one listened, probably because they were swearing.

In any case I have a plan that involves a bit of inhumanity towards man, but I think it's worth mentioning. I happen to think it would be a very good idea if we just removed a few body parts from poachers and left them in the same condition they leave these animals.

From what I here the still-beating hearts of poachers can cure cancer.

I read this yesterday. I share your outrage. It's a good thing that no one told us we were supposed to be stewards of the earth; I think what they heard was "the stupids."
i agree, let's detach one of their limbs with a saw and let them bleed to death where they dumped her- this makes me so angry. They couldn't have killed her first? Really? Even if they needed the money for the survival of their family- they couldn't have taken the time to kill her before they dismembered her?
poachers ought to be hunted into extinction.
I hear they're planning to put a Costco in the Amazon rain forest. Can't wait.
I just don't understand the logic. Did they go yay we killed the last female.....I would buy a still beating poachers heart!
I've always advocated shooting all poachers on the spot, but the idea of cutting out their hearts, organs, or whatever and leaving it besides the body is a great idea. Even if the smaller animals eat the parts, just the sight of a dead poacher, butchered, should send a strong message to his comrades.
