Huge legal immigration with massive unemployment

Rate: 1 Flag

The federal government has  continued to issue 125,000 new green cards and temporary worker visas each month? And 15 million Americans are out of work.

It's all well and good that the economic stimulus has created 650,000 jobs (at $230,769.23 per job), but this is far outweighed by the 1 million new foreign workers that have been allowed to enter the United States during the same time period.

The unemployment rate for U.S.-born high school graduates without college is 19%.
These are the Americans who predominate in the construction, service and manufacturing jobs that are most sought by immigrant workers. Our current level of immigration is keeping millions of people out of jobs.

The people in this high school graduate category who are hurt most are (with unemployment rate in parentheses):

U.S.-born Hispanics (23%)
Black Americans (26%)
According to the New York Times,"in all, more than one out of every six workers — 17.5 percent — were unemployed or underemployed in October. The previous recorded high was 17.1 percent, in December 1982."
And still many members of congress want to keep all illegal aliens in the US and bring in their relatives. That should keep wages nice and low and please the Chamber of Commerce.
