I Know Myself As All

I am not an atheist, but I am
not a theist either, for I cannot,
with my limited scope of sense perception,
sense this cosmic creator deity,
except through clear echo of my own voice,
so I could be called agnostic, for I
know not for certain how conscious through will
of intense force this mind controls process
of chemical interactions in life,
though I can conceive through my intellect
concept of conscious mind who generates
spark that swirls photons into molecules
that link in chains of tinkling music rings,
seeking to know its complete self through flesh
of dreaming organic creatures with brains
who crawl from lake of fresh water and stand
stretching arms toward gleaming sun at bright dawn,
and howl inventing name to describe soul,
so I am gnostic seeking to know God
alive inside this clumsy glob of goop
when I declare, I think therefore I am,
carve images from wood and stone to show
I was here on this spinning sphere of dirt
and water, before I crumble to dust,
though I still live in children of my seed,
thus I know myself as all, all in all.
