So Adam Lambert's new album cover was revealed and surprise, surprise...instant controversy.

OK...I get it. He looks like a girl. And? I mean seriously, this is controversial? Didn't anybody watch American Idol last season? The guy is all about controversy! In every performance he gave on the show he pushed the envelope. For some he pushed it beyond the comfort zone. Personally I loved him!
You can't ignore that voice first of all, if the competition were decided on talent alone he definitely would have beat out Kris Allen. But he used it to "change" up some songs in ways that were innovative and unique and that has always raised the eyebrows of the average midwesterner (and I'm not talking about you personally whomever is getting their panties in a twist because they live in the midwest). He also never hid the fact that he was gay and his penchant for eyeliner made headlines. So when his album came out I fully expected it to stand out, I mean why should this cover be any different than anything else he's done?
What I don't understand is why everyone seems so shocked and why there's "controversy" over it. I'd like to ask all of those people who think he's gone too far with the hair and the make up and the clothes...Hey...don't you remember the 80's?
No? Well allow me to refresh your memories. Allow me to introduce to you...

The Flock of Seagulls Guy

Boy George (had to put him twice)

Adam Ant (a personal favorite)
David Bowie
So get past it people! The man is talented. If you don't like the cover, then don't look at it. If you don't like men to wear make up, then, well...if you're a man, don't wear make up. But please don't think that it makes Adam Lambert controversial. He's not doing anything that hasn't been done before anyway.

He was a bigger-than-life presence on the screen, not least because he didn't have those gender boundaries that the rest of 'em did.
He's not out to be a teenage heart-throb. He's refreshingly honest about his desire for fame and success. I'm a Glambert from his performance of Satisfaction way back when.
Sheesh, this is SHOW business!
R and off to buy the album...yipeeeeeee!
